Your questions answered

Common questions

Do You Sell My Personal or Genetic Data?

We stated from the beginning that we would never sell or give any genetic data to any outside party, even with the client’s permission. In addition, we have never had a security breach, and our platform runs on the latest AWS and Heroku technical architecture. In fact, our lab partners never know the name or any personal information about our end-users. We collect the personal information, they provide the genetic analysis, and we tie the two datasets together in our system using the DNA kit ID. All of our users also have the ability to terminate any data at their request after receiving their test results, which allows another layer of security. We will never sell or share your data.

How Long Does It Take To Get Results?

Once our lab receives your test, we need 30-45 days to process your results.

Is a Blood Draw Required?

A simple mouth swab is all that is needed. Once you send us the swab, we will collect your skin cells from the swab and extract the DNA material from that. No blood draw is needed.

What is DRCgx?

DRCgx is a genetic testing company launched in 2024 in partnership with a decade-old genetic bioinformatics lab. Initially, our focus was on weight loss with GxSlim, analyzing 48 genetic markers. Today, we analyze over 400 genetic markers, providing personalized insights into weight management, athletic performance, nutrient absorption, and more.

What makes DRCgx different from other genetic testing companies?

  • Third-Party Vetting: We have been vetted and selected by industry leaders like Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig, ISSA, and Alter for custom white-labeled programs.
  • Actionable Data: Unlike traditional genetic ancestry companies, we focus on goal-driven reports (weight loss, athletic performance, wellness, etc.), integrating meal plans and exercise recommendations.
  • Data Privacy & Security: We never sell or share genetic data, even with client consent, and use AWS and Heroku security architecture to ensure data protection.

Industry Leadership: In the general Nutrigenomics space, we have won competitive bids with the International Sport Science Association (ISSA, a market-leading personal trainer certification organization) and Alter,a newly launched DTC exercise content and hardware company, as well as several other health and wellness companies.

What types of genetic tests does DRCgx offer?

Our test includes 6 chapters:

GxSlim – Personalized weight loss insights

GxPerform – Athletic performance and recovery

GxNutrient – Nutrient absorption and dietary recommendations

GxRenew – Anti-aging and longevity insights

GxCBD – Personalized CBD usage recommendations

GxCannabis – Personalized cannabis response analysis

What scientific research supports DRCgx’s testing?

Our medical and research team consists of global leaders in genetics and weight loss research. We only use peer-reviewed studies that have a significant impact on health conditions. Our bioinformatics undergo annual updates to incorporate new scientific findings.

Do I need to take the test more than once?

No. Your genetic code does not change, so one test is enough for a lifetime. However, as science evolves, we update our reports with new insights, ensuring you always have the most relevant information.
